Susanna Turner is a self-taught visual artist and photographer based in Chicago, IL. She learned how to take photographs on the streets of New England paritculary in Providence, Rhode Island and Boston, Massachusettes, where raw human emotions, striking shadows, lights, and unusual colors were alive on every corner. Over time, she brought these elements into her portraiture work. After growing up in over six different countries (Colombia, Argentina, India, Pakistan, USA & Venezuela), Susanna uses her lens to create spaces where she can tap back into the roots she once left behind, while stepping into new worlds with curiosity. Through portraiture, seeds of cultures, and strong colors, she allows moments of empowerment and grace through her images. When it comes to the collaboration process, she is a firm believer that bringing together the right team through positivity and openness is essential to each project.
